Welcome to our Online yoga page, when you register to become a member  with our online service you will have access to a large range of pre-recorded classes, including meditation, specialty classes, a 10 Part Beginner Course and recorded live streamed classes.

New videos are uploaded on a weekly basis to ensure that you will have a wide range of classes  to enjoy and  incorporate into your home practice.

10 PART BEGINNER COURSE

The Beginners Course is divided into 10 Lessons, which you can  follow at your own pace and repeat as many times as you wish. Each lesson contains  a 1 hour class, a 20 -30 minute revision class and some reading material.

During the classes your teacher Melissa will guide you progressively through a range of standing, twisting, seated poses, and inversions (asanas) to learn the basic foundations of Iyengar Yoga.  There will also be time for relaxation at the end of each class.

The props required for the Beginners 10 Part Course are a mat, 2 blocks, 2 blankets and a belt.

When learning, repetition is very important, so once you have finished the course feel free to repeat it as many times as you please. We  all  learn and progress at different stages, so when you feel you have a basic understanding of everything that you have learnt in the course it is time to move on to some of our more challenging classes we have for offer.

PREPARING FOR  ONLINE CLASSES

Yoga Props

These Props are used in an Iyengar Yoga class to aid the student, especially those who are unable to achieve a particular asana due to stiffness, injury or sickness.

This enables the student to enjoy the many benefits yoga has to offer. The use of props increase understanding of accurate alignment as well as duration in a pose which helps to achieve stability and concentration.


​You will need to prepare yourself for online classes by purchasing or organising some yoga props. The props required to attend our Beginner Classes are 2 blocks, 2 blankets and a belt. Once you settle in, are enjoying the classes and moved on to the intermediate level,  you may wish to purchase a bolster and shoulderstand cushions. 

​You may be able to improvise with what you have lying around the house. You do not have to go all out and buy everything. A kitchen chair and what ever blankets and cushions you have at home will suffice. 

There are many stores these days where you can purchase mats, blocks, and straps, try the internet for a bolster or if you want to go all out visit:
